Óscar Cardoso - Guitar Maker

This exhibition is dedicated to the art of Portuguese guitar construction and to one of its master luthiers, Óscar Cardoso.

During the exhibition the Fado Museum promoted a program of instrumental concerts with the participation of several musicians who use instruments manufactured by Óscar Cardoso.

The craftsman is the one who masters an art, who practices it, who has a knowledge, a wisdom, an experience that he acquired in a period of time, long or not, of learning, through a process, more or less complex, of transmission between a master who knows and his apprentice who learns. To speak of Óscar Cardoso is to speak of a craftsman.
