FADO
14 August, 2012 to 31 March, 2013
"Fado
A documental project whose goal is to capture the invisible.
To explain what cannot be explained.
To decifer Fado.
Several Eastern masters believe that knowledge can only be conveyed in person. Would it be possible to capture a master's timeless knowledge through technology?
From the viewpoint of someone who "makes" Fado, we want to try to explain what Fado is to all those who know it and to all those who don't know it. From the composer and the guitar player to those who sing it, and to those who write the lyrics and study it. Through these testimonies we intend to capture the invisible, the inner side of Fado.
Although Fado's continuity is ensured, the knowledge of a given time may be lost. Our goal is to preserve these testimonies for all those who wish to see and listen to them in the future.
The wisdom of these masters deserves our undived attention."
